it is with great honour that in paradisum welcome sometime border community and traum schallplatten artist ricardo tobar into the label for the fourth chapter in our fledgling story. the esoteric/carnaval ep reveals four tracks that further showcase the chilean producers unerring grasp for electronic music that combines moments of introspection with the unshakeable urge to lose yourself in the moment.

loftsoul is the moniker of renowned dj uchikawa masahiko. he has been a dj for more than 25 years, and is deeply involved with the japanese nightclub scene since its early days. his borderless and genre-straddling playing style, from soul, jazz, dance classics, deep house, to techno tells of the impassioned music life of dj uchikawa masahiko. in addition to running regular parties at his club loft in nagano, (which has hosted djs such as joe claussell, jerome sydenham and glenn underground) and premier at loop, uchikawa has been recording tracks as loftsoul, and collaborating with pianist makoto kuriya as rhythm of elements. >soul inspiration< sees loftsouls continued collaboration with chicago house stalwart glenn underground alongside ricardo miranda aka the latin soul brothas. >soul inspiration< is a deliciously deep groove with trademark virtuoso piano for some esoteric soulful dance floor action. the b-side sees the latin soul brothas slow it down for them electronic soul of the moog mix. finally, dj uchikawa and hide koyama provide an essential dub.

vinyl only! synths glittering through the night are pierced by metallic percussion and crushed by bass frequencies from a deep abyss! many times have ricardo esposito and micheal nadjé demonstrated their tight dj skills all over europe and now these two brothers have stepped up their game yet again to craft two tracks in a most simple and efficient way that only early chi house is capable of. claps, toms and tambourines rushing fiercely through arped hooks bring back that 87 feeling! the flip transports us back to the present day in the form of two remixes, but wont betray the a-sides spirit. for b1 john spring trades arpeggios for chords and introduces a thump you will surely be able to feel on the floor. kyle, on the other hand, hooks up his analog gear and pulls out synth lines that will get everyone on the dance floor dizzy – but only until the bass line crushes their chests.

( acid music band ) decided to follow the way to acid music, inspired by the acid guru as virgo or tyree cooper and the first techno workers as underground resistance or juan atkins he produced two tracks only with analog instruments and acid attitude. acid music band sounds like an orchestra, the man is the music director and the machines are the players. we are young so we asked help from an old expert… directly from the chi-city, ricardo miranda contributed to create an overall ep with his fantastic boogie remix. old and young records.. we love acid too.

following up the success of patrick del rey?s disconneced ep, rotraum music announces the release of the remixes . although based on the similar original song, ricardo motta, mr gil and dominik vogel are providing very different techhose tracks which are indeed genuine themselves.

the a-side of the record is the epic title track >nieves<, that in a straight way controls the nightly events on the basement floors. nieves is without a doubt taking each and every clubber on a mind trip. thanks to the drums in various arrangements, in combination with the heavy bass, nieves generates a forcing groove that even makes the floor dance.
luke hess reshapes nieves in a consisting and open way. with the given resources the remix is coming to an unsurpassed dynamic, which through percussion and dubby chord patterns is impressively direct. with this interpretation hess respectfully completes the release with sovereignty. vivantes is a classic tool which builds on the foundations of dub and rhythm. through the strongly repetitive pattern vivantes developes to something meditative, grounding the listener at the end of a journey of this extended play.

after the echocord jubilee compilation we are now back with a new artist on echocord. we welcome sasu ripatti aka vladislav delay from finland. sasu is known from many projects, like luomo and from the moritz von oswald trio. now that sasu have the quartet where he can fully search for the acoustic music and jazz-influences and beyond, the vladislav delay solo stuff will be again focused on electronic experiments. these 2 tracks give a light on where the project is heading. something old, something new. the remix is from no one else than ricardo villalobos and max loderbauer.

taragana pyjarama is 21 year old nick eriksen from denmark, >taragana pyjarama< is his debut release on french house label fool house, following the self imposed death of previous project elm ick, which went onto release on john talabots hivern label (barcelona). the release features three original tracks, ‘,sundanese blonde’,, ‘,ocean’, and ‘,girls’, the breakout track that had the mp3 blog dance community in raptures at the tail of of summer ‘,10. eriksen may feel at home creating deep new house productions but it’,s natural attraction towards the journey in his productions that resonate most, no less so in ‘,sundanese blonde’, perhaps the stand out track on the ep and the sole track to feature a vocal. ricardo tobar provides a pulsating take on ‘,girls’,. as for the definition of taragana pyjarama? we’,re still not sure.

newcomer ricardo rae with a straight stomper on this hot tango solo debut. >hold on< is a tangy gem of crisp, clean and snapping deep house - loads of thick basslines, key stabs and some jazzy elements working nicely in the mix. on the flip the hot chuck love kills it with his mix - toughening up the percussion a bit, laying down a buzzing bassline and throwing down a tasty breakdown, all with that trademark chuck love funky strut. solid stuff for the youngman, heather and fred everything fans here.
